EIGHT TIPS FOR APPLYING MAKEUP

How you do your makeup matters. Some techniques when employed correctly, can take your face from whatever to…WOAH!

Wear your makeup in a way that makes you proud and confident. Here are eight application tips that will give you a flawless look every time (no glam squad required)!

CONCEALER

With concealer, you want to get the most coverage with the least amount of product. Use your finger in a tapping motion to build thin layers of concealer under your eyes, close to your nose and then blend into your skin. Never put concealer or foundation on your eyelids as a base, it will cause your eye makeup to crease.

FOUNDATION

Use your fingers to apply your foundation if you want sheer coverage and a brush for medium to full coverage. If applying with a brush, hold the very end of it. You will have slightly less control but a much softer touch that’ll give you a more natural finish. Use one pump of liquid foundation for sheer coverage and two pumps for medium.

POWDER

Always apply powder where you are shiniest first, with a very light dusting everywhere else.

BRONZER

You should put bronzer on your neck, face, and chest to even out your skin tone. Be sure to take a step back and make sure everything is the same color.

BLUSH

When applying blush, smile, then dust the apples of your cheeks, then sweep pigment towards the tops of ears, then down toward the jawline.

EYEBROW

Trace brow pencil or powder along the tops of brows for an instant facelift.

EYELINER

Instead of looking straight ahead at the mirror, get as close to it as possible, tilt your head up, and bring your chin toward the mirror. Look down as you apply, starting at the inner corner and working your way out.

MASCARA

Sweep the wand through the roots of your lashes and zigzag as you work your way up.
